The PTFA plays an important role within school and is very well supported by parents and teachers. Through various forms of fundraising we have been able to fund a wide range of items for school, from new computers to a whole kitchen re-fit!

Our main fundraiser each year is the Summer Fete, which always proves popular with parents and villagers alike. This year we are also planning a 'Horse-Racing' night in the village hall.

Each half term we hold a class Cake Sale, which provides money for each class to spend as they wish!

We have a Disco at least twice a year, which the children get very excited about, although they are always too embarrassed to dance!

We also have activity days during the year, providing a chance for the children to come into school on a Saturday and do some cooking, craftwork, football and much more. In the summer the activities focus more on outdoor fun, where-as at Christmas we focus more on indoor activities, such as card making and cooking.

We are very proud of the achievements we have made for the school, and hope to go from strength to strength with the continued support we have of our parents and teachers.

Mr London, Mrs Wintersgill, Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Toye, Mrs Turner and Mr & Mrs Le Hunte have all volunteered to help. Mr Biddles will be on site for insurance purposes. Cost to be £6 per child, then ½ price for subsequent siblings. This year the PTFA will provide a snack and drink for the children, but there will be no facility for having lunch at school* , as last year time was very tight for completing some activities. There will be a tuck shop running during the morning. All children will be asked to provide a glass jar with a lid and a tray to carry their craft items home on. Mrs Loder raised the problem of police clearance for helpers. Mrs Mitchell confirmed that all helpers must have police clearance, even if not left alone with children. Numbers will be limited to 40 children only!
*Following the meeting Mrs Burton has asked that the children do bring lunch with them, as she does not see a problem with timings.

8. Carols by Candlelight.
At the moment it is uncertain whether this will go ahead, but if it does the PTFA hope to run several competitions (Name the penguin, Guess the number of chocolates in the tin, Guess the weight of the cake).

9. Table Top Sale 18th November 2006 2 p.m.
