A special day
at Chilthorne Domer.
Mrs Lesley Waters who had worked at Chilthorne school for 28 years retired
on 27th April 2007. To celebrate all her hard work and dedication the
children and staff planned a very special day, beginning with the planting
of 4 trees in the school grounds, one for each class Ash, Beech, Oak and
Willow. Later on 3 'nurses' from Willows class administered First Aid
to Mrs Waters and luckily she recovered so well that in the afternoon
she was able to enjoy some wonderful country dancing, poetry, an assembly
and some extraordinary synchronized swimming!
Mrs Jean Plympton who had worked as a cleaner for 10 years also retired
on the same day and joined Mrs Waters and the rest of the staff for a
special lunch. She also enjoyed the entertainment in the afternoon.
